Port Dickson

Last weekend, we had our department outing to PD. In the early morning, had an obstacle course and at night had some sort of a jungle trekking using a compass as guide to reach a destination.... and we played games the whole day under the sweltering sun and it's so darn hot! Over-all it was fun though:)

breadfruit (has anyone tried this before?)

bye bye blackbird

blowing white powder:)

The day is done, and the darkness
Falls from the wings of Night,

As a feather is wafted downward

From an eagle in his flight

Just bought a Yo-yo Ma and Miles Davis cds last Friday.

While checking out videos in Youtube, came across Han Na Chang, she also plays the cello. She looks so cute and the expressions on her face is so delightful:)
. Now watch her play Haydn's Cello Concerto 3rd movement Allegro Molto and then compare with Yo-yo Ma.

I wanna watch this movie!!

Academy Award winner for Best Foreign Language Film, DEPARTURES is a delightful journey into the heartland of Japan as well an astonishingly beautiful look at a sacred part of Japans cultural heritage. Departures follows Daigo Kobayashi (Masahiro Motoki), a devoted cellist in an orchestra that has just been dissolved and who is suddenly left without a job. Daigo decides to move back to his old hometown with his wife to look for work and start over.

He answers a classified ad entitled Departures thinking it is an advertisement for a travel agency only to discover that the job is actually for a Nokanshi or encoffineer, a funeral professional who prepares deceased bodies for burial and entry into the next life. While his wife and others despise the job, Daigo takes a certain pride in his work and begins to perfect the art of Nokanshi, acting as a gentle gatekeeper between life and death, between the departed and the family of the departed.

The film follows his profound and sometimes comical journey with death as he uncovers the wonder, joy and meaning of life and living. A story of love, of discovery, of revelation and of the transcending human spirit, Departures will linger in your heart and mind long after viewing.

Director:Yojiro Takita
Cast:Masahiro Motoki, Ryoko Hirosue, Tsutomu Yamazaki, Kazuko Yoshiyuki, Kimiko Yo, Takashi Sasano

Three's company

There's a cutie intructor in the gym's group exercises! (well i find him cute:) and I just like his 'happy' personality:) One nite, I joined his class again (my second time). Then later on got the chance to chitchat with him in the locker room. On the way out, bumped into him again and asked:

Me: 'your name is -----, rite?' (i first checked the schedule board to get his name hehe).

Him: 'yes, and you are?'

he extended his hand (we are officially acquainted now :)

Him: 'wanna go for drinks?'

Me: 'sure, but I'm with my friend'.. and introduced buddy... (Darn, i'm like a cow dung and buddy is a pesky fly just keep on hovering haha.. kidding)

We end up having dinner the three of us... and buddy is so quick to get his no. ..
Hmmm I'm not gonna miss his classes:D

Scents & Sensibility

I've always love fragrances. I've tried many brands, some for a short while, others for a couple of years.

Fragrance preference is really an indivual choice, it may work on somebody but not on you. Some of my all time favorites include Clinique Happy and L'Eau d'Issey for Men.

A few years back, one of my friends was using Clinique Happy and I just love how he smells then;) He gave me the still half full bottle and when its been used up I bought another one. And so there was a year when I was smelling Happy almost everyday :)

I also had a friend who was wearing Karl Lagerfeld Photo, I thought he smells so sexy and very masculine. But when I put it on me, I just find it too strong it gave me headache:(

For day use, I would choose the likes of Versace Eau Fraiche, Euphoria Men or even Zegna Intenso..... while for night outs, that would be the more stronger woody stuff like Boss In Motion Green (i remember was wearing this one time while clubbing a couple of years back and there's one guy keep sniffing me hah:), Polo Blue and such. I find L'Eau d'Issey is okay to use anytime.

I usually buy small trial bottles (I also like to collect them) and feel if I really like it.. Anywayz, these are some that I've used before (not all are my faves though) and some I'm currently using...

Midnight Meat Train

One night we watched this movie on dvd at home.

Me: I don't know why you bought this.

He: This is the type you like mah.. you like weird movies, right?

Me: Nope, I like art movies not this one, okay. It's you who likes to watch this kind of movies....

It was so gruesome, I can't stand to watch most of it... There's one funny (or so we thought) scene though, we burst out laughing when this hysterical lady stepped on an eyeball and fall down flat on her back :D...

Take a look at this...

Anzo Low

Last Friday, after watching Wolverine (luv it!!) we passed by a shoe shop and there I saw again the shoes that I really wanted. We came in the same shop before last Jan I think but at that time there's only one size left and its too tight for me. Felt so disappointed. I can't remember how many other shops we visited just looking for this, since I first saw it in Ipoh last December.

While staring at the display, the pretty Salegirl came and asked me what shoe size I'm looking for, I said 8. She checked in their pc for stocks and told me to wait. I wasn't really expecting much (I don't want to get disappointed again)... surprise surprise the girl came back with a box!! Yohoo I was so excited... While trying it on, the girl said she still remembers me... (how sweet, can I give you hug? hehe) So finally, I got the shoe that I wanted! My buddy, after we kept looking around for a pair before, told me to just get another design, it's nothing special, got other more nicer.. blah blah.. but I said no, I only wanted that design and nothing else (he can't understand why, he said I'm silly, but I have this really strong determination to get somethin I wanted:). And persistence and patience really do pay off... hehe..
